Lexi Amrhein is a Big Bear High School Graduate from class of 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Studies with an emphasis in Community Service from California State University, Northridge and a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from University of San Francisco. Lexi started her career as a peer mentor for first year students during her time as an undergraduate student and later worked as a College and Career Prep Specialist for low-income, first generation middle and high school students in rural Southern Oregon. During her time in Oregon, Lexi developed comprehensive and culturally responsive college and career prep curriculum, programming, and services. While attending graduate school, she worked as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor where she supported students and families through the college application, admission, and financial aid processes. Lexi has also worked as an Academic Advisor for the California Community College System and has experience teaching at nonprofits, high schools, and community colleges.
